After several years of taking pictures, writing posts, shooting/editing/posting videos my show has been picked up by CTV Beam East Alabama which means that I will be shooting the pilot episode this week. This is going to give my show a more professional look and feel from the camera work to the editing and production and will allow me to bring my dream to life the way I envision it.
What this means to all my current and future followers is that my show will soon be available for viewing on CTV Beam channel 7, the CTV Beam YouTube channel, and on my Drinking Across America YouTube channel, Instagram, and Facebook. So this allows more people to have access to my show while being able to view it on several platforms..TV, mobile, tablets, etc.
We are going to be filming the pilot episode at Omaha Brewing Company down in Omaha, GA..about 45 minutes south of Columbus, GA. Their motto is “Small Town, Big Beers” and they most certainly are, as I’ve been to the brewery several times in the past and know the owner Robert Lee. They most certainly do have some BIG flavorful beers brewing down in that small southern town.
Stay tuned for more information as to when the show will be airing and on my future episodes buy liking and following my blog, Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube.
And if anyone is interested I’ve got tshirts for sale for $20 each. Check out the designs below. Both men’s and women’s available in all sizes
Alright ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls ,and Rats the world over it’s time for me to share with YOU my adoring public where you can find me at next!!!!
This weekend, Saturday specifically, starts an extended weekend of appearances. First, on Saturday, May 13, I fly into Springfield, MO where Ron Ratcatcher will make his first appearance in the state of Missouri for Mid-States Championship Wrestling at the Relic Event Center in the corner of the LVR BOY Matt Riviera as he faces former NWA World Heavyweight Champion Tim Storm. Then following that match we will be fleeing, I mean flying out of Missouri to Dallas, TX for the Whitesnake Concert at the Bomb Factory on Monday, April 15th which the Ratcatcher and Mr. Riviera and company will enjoy VIP style of course!!!
So, as you can see I’ve got quite the eventful time coming up this weekend and beginning of next week. So now that you know where I’ll be if you’re in the area(s) come out to the shows and say hi and let me know what you think of my journeys.
Hello all my friends, fans, family, and followers the world over!!! It’s been awhile since I last posted a blog here for you to entertain yourself with and I apologize and I’ll do better of keeping you up to date with ALL things me THE Ron Antinore.
As everyone should know yesterday was St. Patrick’s Day, and yours truly spent the day in the ATL for the most kickass show of the day, The St. Paddy’s Day Sextravaganza Show last night at The Masquerade featuring Little Miss Nasty Burlesque, Orgy, Genitorturers, and The Lords of Acid!!! To say this show was AWESOME is an understatement!!! I’ve been going to Genitorturers shows for over 20 years, yes I did just date myself lol, and it’s always a treat to see Gen and the guys kick ass on stage and this time was no different. I started going to their shows back in ’95 when I was working at Backstreet Atlanta which at the time was the largest nightclub in the ATL..3 stories, open 24/7, and just one Helluva party whether you were working or playing (and in my case doing both at the same time). I got turned onto them by a friend and co-worker of mine Johnny, who also at the time was a performer with the band, and I later learned that another co-worker of mine was also a performer with them, her name was Sharon and she was a bartender at Backstreet Atlanta. I’ve got some more stories to share about some of the shows back then that you’ll just have to wait to hear.
The other band I was really looking forward to seeing again was The Lords of Acid, who like Genitorturers I’ve been following since the mid 90’s. I was actually blessed enough to have been in attendance for the Lords first ever appearance in the States!! It was actually at the original Masquerade on North Ave. in Atlanta at an all night Rave party, and there’s a great story to go along with that show as well that I’ll be talking about in a future blog and in more detail in my upcoming book.
This Sextravaganza Show was totally of the chain from the very beginning. I got to the venue around 6:30 and just in time to catch Little Miss Nasty taking the stage for their first of 2 sets that evening. It was a very high energy dance show put on by some of the sexiest women performing burlesque nowadays. The show lasted between 30-45 minutes and just flew by as they danced their asses off to some of the best rock and metal music out there.
Next up was Genitorturers and of course they didn’t disappoint with their usual BD/SM themed show and performance. Gen came out sporting a Necronomicon dress and blew the audience away with her vocals and heavy guitar laden riffs..not to mention the usual suspects of performers. The set lasted about an hour and definitely had the audience into it.
Next up was Orgy who really put on a high energy show packed with great guitar riffs, bass, and drums all highlighted by Jay Gordon’s vocals definitely rocked the house out!!! The highlight of the show, at least in my eyes, was when Gordon left the stage and came out into the audience during the finale, their hit song Blue Monday, and actually ended up next to me.
Of course they had to save the BEST for last, which of course where The Lords of Acid!!! Even after all these years, and apparent member changes, sadly Jade 4U was not the lead singer of this version of The Lords, but I have to give it to Marieke Bresseleers for doing an outstanding job replacing Jade 4U on vocals, as she definitely knows how to work a crowd, and much like Jade 4U is VERY easy on the eyes and a definite sexpot. Of course they did all of their famous hits..Rough Sex, Show Me Your Pussy, Let’s Get High and Have Fun, Out Comes the Evil, and more!!!
All and all a very entertaining show that I’m definitely glad to have seen in person as all of the bands and performers involved gave it their all, even though all of the bands have been together for 20-30+ years. There are only a few more dates left on this tour so if you see it coming to a city near you..GO!!!!!
These are the next bookings for Ron Ratcatcher at USA Championship Wrestling!! Come one, Come all you RATS to Henderson, TN on Friday night March 8th and Jackson, TN on Saturday night March 9th at the historic Oman Arena for the Eddie Gilbert Tribute Show, and don’t forget to end your weekend on Sunday, March 10th at the USA Championship Wrestling TV Tapings in the studio in Oman Arena
Hello Ladies and Gentlemen, Boys and Girls, and RATS the world over!!! I, Ron Ratcatcher, announce to you my adoring public my next 2 appearances. If you live anywhere in West Tennessee, North Mississippi, and East Arkansas you’re gonna wanna make the trip to see these events!!!
The first will be in 2 weeks on Saturday, February 2nd in Covington, TN for USA Championship Wrestling at the Covington High Gymnasium as I, Ron Ratcatcher, accompany the LVR BOY Matt Riviera to the ring as he gets ready to do battle with his longtime nemesis Big Gravy. Be sure to get there early as I hear that Big Gravy has challenged The Ratcatcher to a dance off..winner to be decided by the audience. And I am positive that the crowd will vote me the winner as I get ready to “bust a move” the likes of which these West Tennessee rednecks haven’t seen since “Saturday Night Fever”!!!
The second appearance will be in Jackson, TN on Saturday night, February 16th at the historical Oman Arena, also for USA Championship Wrestling, as my man LVR BOY Matt Riviera takes on Memphis wrestling legend and WWE Hall of Famer Jerry “The King” Lawler in the most dangerous match to hit West Tennessee in decades… THE THUNDERDOME CAGE!!!!! 30 ft. of hardened steel cage with no escape for it’s participants except pinfall or submission. And LVR BOY Matt Riviera WILL take the torch, and The King’s cherished crown, from Jerry Lawler that evening…Whether he likes it or not!!! So, if you haven’t done so yet, be sure to purchase your tickets now before they sell out!!! As this is sure to be THE BIGGEST show to come to Tennessee in decades!!!
As we wind down the first week of the new year I have to ask myself, “if this week is any indication, is there anyway this year CAN’T be a success??”
First off, I rang out 2018 at the same place I rang it in, at Wild Leap Brewing in LaGrange, GA for their New Years Eve bash..which included All You Can Drink beer from their selection of 15+ beers, several of which were “one off’s” only available that night, a DJ spinning your favorite dance tunes, and food trucks in the courtyard allowing us to fill our bellies with food along with great beer!! Needless to say I arrived shortly after 8pm and enjoyed my fair share of the selection of beers available. I remember trying a Peanut Butter and Chocolate Stout, an Orange Creamsicle, a blackberry(??) or blueberry (??) beer, among a few others..you can find the full list and descriptions under Drinking Across America, so be sure to check it out while you’re here.
That was the beginning of my week and New Year, and I took it out with just as big a bang as Ron Ratcatcher made another appearance in USA Championship Wrestling in the corner of the one and only LVR BOY Matt Riviera, as he faced “Kid Wrestling” in a match at the historic Oman Arena, formally the Jackson Coliseum in Jackson, TN on Saturday, January 5, 2019. That night’s match was pretty uneventful as LVR BOY easily manhandled the overly matched youngster, pinning him easily. What happened later that night during the Main Event between 2 legends of Southern Wrestling, WWE Hall of Famer Jerry “The King” Lawler vs Tommy “Wildfire” Rich as they continued their decades long feud, setup the aftermath which will cumulate in the Thunderdome Cage Match on Saturday night, February 16, 2019 at The Oman Arena between LVR BOY Matt Riviera w/ Ron Ratcatcher vs Jerry “The King” Lawler. During the Rich vs Lawler match, the referee got himself knocked unconscious, so, doing the only thing he thought of as fair, Matt Riviera donned a referee shirt, he IS a licensed referee mind you, and rushed out the ring to make a 3 count, thus ending the match and raising the hand of “Wildfire” in victory. Of course, everyone knows that Lawler is a poor sport, so the very next day at the TV studios in the basement of The Oman Arena, Jerry Lawler decides to come rushing out of the back dressing room not only interrupting the interview time of Mr. Riviera, but he proceeds to not only attack Mr. Riviera, but he also laid his hands on one Ron Ratcatcher knocking him to the ground before continuing his assault on Mr. Riviera until both locker rooms clear out separating the 2, thus setting up The Thunderdome match in February!!
So, to wrap things up for this week, I have to say that the first week of the year started out pretty damn good and if things continue this way, 2019 is going to shape up to be one Helluva year!!! Stay tuned as next weeks blog will include my appearance at The Masquerade in Atlanta for Shaggy 2 Dope’s solo tour!! Until next time…WHOOP WHOOP!!!!
Here it is only the 3rd day of the New Year and we’ve already been hit by a tragic loss in the wrestling business, if you haven’t heard by now “Mean” Gene Okerlund passed away on January 2, 2019 at the age of 76 in a hospital in Sarasota, FL.
Although I personally never had a chance to meet “Mean” Gene I do remember watching him as a teenager in the AWA and then as a young adult in WCW. Many of you may be wondering why I didn’t mention his time in the then WWF and then later on in the WWE. Quite simply I do not watch Vince’s circus, nor do I care for his brand of “sports entertainment” so I have never watched it so I am unfamiliar with it.
One thing that I do know and that’s the pro wrestling business lost one of the if not the last of the 80’s era announcers/interviewers and that’s a very sad thing to think about and realize. They don’t make them like that anymore for sure..much like they don’t make wrestlers like they used to anymore. “Mean” Gene was one of the last of a dying breed, no pun intended. He had an iconic voice and a way about him that you knew what to expect when “Mean” Gene was in the ring or in the back getting ready to interview all our favorite stars..Hulk Hogan, Scott Hall, Kevin Nash, Randy Savage, Roddy Piper, The Road Warriors, The Fabulous Freebirds, and so many more. Although “Mean” Gene avoided the pro wrestling young death curse, he was still taken from us too soon. May you Rest In Peace sir..I ring the 10 bell salute for you.
Now onto a less sad story in the pro wrestling business. This Saturday night, January 5, 2019 at The Oman Arena in Jackson, TN, we have a HUGE night of Professional Wrestling coming your way from USA Championship Wrestling!! All of your favorite stars will be there..Ron Ratcatcher, Matt Riviera, Boyd Bradford, Johnny Morton, The Starr Twins, Lucky P Larsen, Kevin Zion, Brandon White, and more will be there including the USA Heavyweight Champion “Dangerous” Doug Gilbert, who will be defending his title, and legends Tommy “Wildfire” Rich and WWE Hall of Famer Jerry “The King” Lawler will be in action reigniting their decades long feud. And as always remember the live TV tapings held in the Oman Arena studios on Sunday afternoon January 6, 2019!! Make your plans to come on out and enjoy the HOTTEST wrestling ticket in the USA!!!
As I get ready to enter the new year just as everyone else is, I’m reflecting on all of the new opportunities that I am bringing forth unto myself. Instead of continuing to just sit back and dream about what I want in life and what I look to accomplish in the near future, I realized one thing..it takes money to make money. By that, I mean you have to invest in yourself and actually take action instead of just “sitting on the sidelines” thinking success will just fall into your lap, that rarely if ever has happened. I have had “the dream” of building my personal brand for years but never really knew how to get started. I finally decided to “invest in myself” and have purchased several courses on how to build my brand and become a “key person of influence”, and am actually starting to slowly implement some of the ideas put forth in those courses..building my website, starting a blog, and more. You happen to be here on the ground floor of this adventure so all I can say is strap in and get ready for the ride of my/your life.
